About Us

ShelterKids is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that helps provide funding and services for over 4,000 youths in the Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services each year. Additionally, ShelterKids helps finance supplementary activities and programs that facilitate individual understanding and recognition of each adolescent’s impending value in the community.

Although the Salt Lake County Division of Youth Services receives government funding to help support the fundamental needs of the program, ShelterKids works to offer additional services that are not justifiable with government money. ShelterKids works through its board members who make valuable community contacts with individuals and corporations that contribute services, goods or cash donations to support these vital programs. ShelterKids is an all-volunteer non-profit organization, and relies completely on community contributions for funding and services.
